Meet the Woman Who saved 30,000 Cats in 26 Years

Lynea Lattanzio, the incredible woman who founded and runs The Cat House on the Kings has saved 30,000 cats in 26 years.

The sanctuary provides a safe and loving environment to abandoned, homeless and rescued cats. It is also the home of more than 700 cats and 300 kittens.

What makes this sanctuary so unique is it's a no-kill and no-cage cat sanctuary where animals roam freely in 4200 sq feet. They also provide facilities like adoption and low-cost spaying and neutering.

The 12-acre sanctuary is situated in California and relies on donations from people and 45 volunteers for taking good care of the cats. They also educate people on how to be a responsible pet owner and how they can get involved in animal welfare.

She says, "You have to be on the very top of the job because you have a lot of cats that you are responsible for. There is no point in rescuing them and taking them in if you can't take care of them".
